I haven't wrote on my blog all week. I don't even have a reason for it. This week has been interesting. I decided to do a bracket for the basketball championship and I have no idea about bb at all. But I will tell you that I have been having fun ever since. I have been checking out the scores and following it the whole time. Who knew I would ever like anything about sports. Cory has been loving it. I picked my team based on statistical research. Basically by color of the team or if I liked or have even been to the state and one for my uncle Louie's name. (thank goodness for that I am told! Louisville is good) So I am beating Cory in my bracket and he just cant believe it. We have a rivalry going on in our house right now.
Today we are going to pick up Skip. That is Cory's mom and dad's dog. She is a very sweet lab mix. I am so excited. She has been at the kennel and we are going to spring her out of the joint today. His parents get home Sunday.
Today we are finishing up the bedroom. There are a couple of spots in the bedroom that need a little touch up with paint. Then we are finally done with it. We will move the furniture back in tomorrow morning. Very excited about that.
I wanted that project done because I want to concentrate on planting this year. We put brick down around the front of our house last year. What a project that was. Now I get to plant in it. I am so excited about that. I have never planted. I want cute things. We are going to start mulching soon. Will write more later........

Lazy Saturday
I did not do much yesterday at all. Boy did it feel nice. But I did't get around to painting either. We ran out to pick up the paint then ran in a couple more stores to check out some sales. I met Michele at 3 and had a very nice time at lunch with her. Cant wait to do it again soon. Got home and took Farley over to Pet Smart to get him groomed. It took 3 hours before they called to say he was done. Boy does he look better. I didn't like that they only shaved the top of his nose but it will grow back. Farley was so tired after we got him home from the groomers last night he went right to bed when we got home. Cory and I settled in to watch a movie. We watched Body of lies. I did not like it. It was bloody and violent. I don't like them kind of movies. Went to bed right after the movie. I am up now ready to start painting the room. I am painting till I have to get ready to watch Brady today. That's right everyone....I get to watch Brady today. I am so excited. Stay tuned for many pictures of him.

Weekend
I had a very busy week and it was really crazy yesterday so I went with my cousin-in-law Melissa to have a couple of drinks and talk after I got out of work. Had a very nice time with her. Today I am vowing I will paint the wainscotings so I can finally get this room done! I cant go another weekend with this room all tore apart. So I am getting around to start painting. I am meeting Michele for lunch/dinner at Vaquero's today. It is a great Mexican restaurant. That will be a nice break from painting to chatting and spending some quality girl time with her. I am looking forward to that. Hopefully have a nice relaxing weekend at home with the hubby this whole weekend. No plans besides my lunch/dinner plans.
Wanted to say Bon Voyage to Cory's parents. They left yesterday to go on a cruise. They will have so much fun. They will be back in a week.

Happy Birthday Jason
Well I am 1 day late posting Happy Birthday to my brother. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!!! I am posting a picture of him that I took Saturday when we went out to dinner. He always makes the people sing to us for all of our birthdays so I decided to have them do something special for him. They have him on a saddle and they are all singing to him.

Lazy Sunday
I have so much to do today but I just cant seem to get out of this house. Maybe its the time change or just that its been raining non stop since I woke up. I have to get to the mall and take some stuff back and also have to have them take the ink tag that is still attached to a pair of pants that I bought last week at Penny's. I cant take it off or ink will burst out everywhere and ruin everything. I cant believe the alarm didn't go off when I left the store. Tomorrow Cory and I will get up and go to the mall so I can get all my stuff done.
I was talking to my mom and she said my dad was really exhausted from yesterdays outing. He has been in bed all day. It is going to take a while before he's back to where he was.
Brady was taken to the hospital the morning. He had a really high fever. Found out it was an ear infection. Poor little guy. I hope he gets better real soon.
I made mexican stuffed shells tonight. I love them. They make quite a lot, almost another whole pan full. I usually always give the 2nd pan away so I had Cory take it over to John and Laura's tonight. I am going to post the recipe but I change it every time I make it and I don't go by exact measurements anymore.
A little over 2lbs of Hamburger
2 jars of picante sauce. Hot, medium or mild depending on how spicy you want it.
2 large cans of French's fried onions
1 lg bag of yellow shredded cheese
1 can of chopped green chili's. ( I use 2 cans as I like it spicy)
1 large can tomato sauce
1 box jumbo shells
Boil the shells and drain and put them aside.
Brown meat and drain. Mix in a separate brown 1 jar picante sauce and half can of tomato sauce and 1 cup (that is the only measurement I remotely go by) water. Add a cup or 2 of the tomato mixture to the drained meat. Add one can of the french fried onions and the can of chili's and around half the bag of the yellow cheese. Mix all together. You want it so it sticks together. I sometimes have to add more of the picante sauce mixture to it or more fried onions or cheese to it to get it where I want it. You will probably have to make more of the tomato mixture by now with the 2nd jar of the picante sauce and remaining tomato sauce . I use a cake pan and I put enough of the tomato mixture to cover the bottom of the pan. Then spoon the meat mixture into the shells one at a time. I stuff them pretty full. Then I pour the rest of the tomato mixture over all the shells in the pan. Cover the pan in tinfoil and cook at 350 for 45 mins. When 45 mins are up then take the foil off the pan and sprinkle a little yellow cheese over the shells and some of the french fried onions and cook for another 15 mins. Enjoy. If you have any questions about my recipe please ask.
Visiting Brady and family
Boy oh boy is Brady cute or what! And that's not me being biased either. Mom, dad, Eva, me and Brady all went to Johnny Rockets for lunch and he was so good the whole time we were out. We dropped Brady, mom and dad back off at Eva's house then went back out to get a couple more things. He was so good. Brady changes every time I see him. Jason got home and we all went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. It was crazy busy there! There was already a hour wait at 5pm. Luckily we called ahead. Brady slept the whole time we were there. Had a great dinner, it was nice spending time with the family and celebrating Jason's b-day. Technically its not his b-day till Tuesday. I was bummed that Cory couldn't go as he had to work.

My week
I have to say that this week went bye very fast. Also that it was a better week than the last one. If it wasn't for one small thing that happened at work last night it would have been perfect. Oh well. I am up and starting to get ready as I am meeting mom, dad and Eva at Johnny Rockets for lunch. Then we are doing a little shopping at a mall right next to where Eva lives. (I think mom is taking dad home and coming back) Jason will be home at 4pm then we are all eating out for dinner for Jason's birthday. (His b-day is Tuesday). So I have a busy day. Cant wait to see my dad out for a change since he left the hospital and I am so excited about seeing Brady! I am taking lots of pictures today and will post them. Got to run.

Steph's birthday night
Yesterday was a very busy day. Cory and I went to Elder Beerman and they were having a great sale. So we ended up going to Jc Pennys, Kohls and Old Navy too. I was running behind something awful. I never did find anything to wear for dinner! I had to ask michele if I could borrow one of her dresses. Cory ran over there to get it for me while I was busy getting ready. That dress made me feel so pretty. I loved it. Thank you Michele!!! We went to Angelo's for dinner and had a nice long meal. We surprised Steph with all the stuff we got her and we had the waitress bring her a cake I picked up earlier in the day. After we were stuffed with food we went to the yacht club to hang out and talk. Had a wonderful night spending time with all our friends. We stayed at John and Laura's for another hour talking when we got back from the club. Got home around 3 am. Time just flies when you are having fun. I am trying to get motivated to start getting ready. Our Niece Jordon is in a play. She plays a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz. Cant wait to go see her in it. I will post something about it tomorrow.
