Lake Michigan

I will probably ramble a little in this post as I only got 2 hours sleep last night.  I have insomnia really bad again.  I don't know if it is my hormones or stress this time.  Either way I don't like it.

We had a wonderful time at the beach house last week. Went with my Aunt Kris and Uncle Larry, mom and dad, Brady and my husband.  Eva was there a couple of days to enjoy it also. She and Jake had to go home after a couple of days as Eva had to go to work. I was very excited that they let Brady stay for the whole week.  Brady loved it. He is still talking about the beach. lol. The picture above is our group shot that Aunt Kris took of all of us.

I had a really great time.  I ate so much great food that my Aunt and mom made that I am now on a diet to lose what I gained. 

The only bad thing about coming back after such a wonderful vacation is that I am swamped with work.  I tried to catch up this week but could never get ahead. Will be going in over the weekend to catch up.

Cory left with a bunch of his friends this morning at 7:30 to do the warrior dash. It is some crazy run they do every year.  I am worried as he had his knee surgery a few months ago. I know he is worried about it too but he would never admit it. I have to go to a bridal shower today at 3.  Then will meet Cory at his mom's after the shower.  Cory's mom has surgery to replace her ankle. Just going to go over to see how she is and say hi.

I will add some pictures for you to see how beautiful lake Michigan is.

Busy Week

I am having such a busy and hectic week.  Work is a little slow but I am really busy.  Its frustrating to hear and see my employee's goofing around and talking because they are so slow when I am running around trying to get my stuff done and going to back to back meetings.

Plus I am getting ready to go on vacation at the cottage that my mom and her sister and I rented for a week. We leave this Saturday.  I am getting really excited as it is so close.  I am really excited that I get to take Brady with me.   I don't know if he will be able to stay the whole week yet but I hope his dad lets me.
No matter what, I will have plenty to post when I get back.

Luna Pier

Yesterday Danielle invited me to the annual Luna Pier garage sale that the whole town has every year.  I figured I would check with my niece Jordan to see if she wants to come with me and I can take some pictures of her for my blog.  She was so excited.  So I woke up early to pick her up and off we went to Luna Pier.  Danielle, Jordan and I headed up to the pier first to take the pictures.  So happy I did that.  I got lots of great shots of Jordan.

We started walking into town and stopped at lots of the garage sales.  Found a couple of bargains.  It was so hot and all 3 of us were sweaty and sticky.  We finally headed back to Danielle's condo.  As soon as we got there it started to rain and continued to rain the whole day.

Cory arrived soon after and Jeremy made us a great dinner.  Grilled hamburgers.  So good. Had such a great day yesterday with Danielle, Jeremy and Jordan.  Cory and I really appreciated it.

New Orleans

Got back from New Orleans and I had a wonderful time.  it was so hot and humid.  I love that kind of weather.  It was a really nice place to see.  Bourbon Street was pretty wild to see that's for sure. 
I loved the tours we took.  It was crazy to see the devastation that Katrina did that that place.  It is one thing to see it on TV but quite another to see it in person.  It is still a mess there.  So many abandoned homes just destroyed. 
My favorite part of the tour was the air boat ride in the Bayou.  Saw a 13 foot alligator.  So scary but neat at the same time.  I had so much fun.  I highly recommend Swamp Adventures and ask for the tour guy Gary.  Who knew that alligators love marshmallow's!  I cant wait till next year on our girls trip. 

Next up we are leaving to the cottage on lake Michigan.  We leave the 13th.  Cant wait!
