Braces

Well I finally got my first tray of braces for the Invisalign. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. There is a lot to it. I could not stand it the first couple of days as my teeth hurt so bad. I could not eat and I could barely get the tray out or in. Its a lot better now as I think they loosen up a little and my teeth moved to where the tray is. I get my second tray next Thursday. I haven't really noticed any change in my teeth but it is the first tray. Not expecting much yet.

Birthday party

I have really enjoyed my new car. I love it. I am still jumpy about getting hit. But hopefully I will get over that really soon. But its a really cool car. I am happy with my choice. I dropped Kaitlin off at the airport Friday morning to go visit her boyfriend Justin. I miss her all ready. She has text me several times and sent me pictures. Justin has been taking her to all the cool places. Since he works for Disney he took her all over the Disney lot. She will have a lot to tell us and show us when she gets home.

Today we are going to Brady's 3rd b-day party. I cant believe he is 3 already. It will be at Hero's in OH. He will have so much fun! I cant wait to see him today. Will post pictures as soon as I can.

My new car

Well I finally found a vehicle that I liked. It is a GMC Terrain. Boy it was a terrible experience for me finding a new car. I looked at lots of cars and suv's. I finally narrowed it down to wanting a SUV. I looked at quite a lot of them. Didn't want a big one and I didn't want it to look like a crossover. I test drove them all and was disappointed by all of them. None of the car companies are making anything I feel is good. I would have bought a Ford Explorer but they are really expensive. Cory asked if I looked at the Buick/GMC dealership and I said no...why would I want something there. I didn't even know what they made. But after a few days of feeling frustrated on not finding anything I liked I pulled in to check it out and saw this suv I thought it was cute. And that was it. I kept looking for cars and kept coming back to this suv. They gave us the suv for the weekend and I fell in love. We took it back after work Monday night and put a deposit on it and started the ball rolling. Said we would pick it up on Thursday. We had to wait for the check from Triple A from my old car as we were using that as a down payment. So I got the check today and cannot wait till tomorrow. I am quite sure tomorrow will go so slow as I am excited to leave work to pick up my new car. I am just so happy to finally have found something and now I have this off my plate and my accident finally behind me.

Car accident

Yesterday started out just like any other day. We had the chili cook off at work so everyone was so full all day long. It was too bad it was so busy at work that we couldn't really enjoy it as much as we should have. But all in all it was a fun day. Only a few people dressed up. I could not wait to leave at 3:30 pm as I had so much to do before trick or treating began. So at 3:30 pm I started packing up my stuff and told my boss I was leaving to go home. I took what was left of my chili home. I had it in my big crock pot. I love crock pots! I had just taken the exit ramp off off 94E to get onto 275S and a mile down the road a orange car tried to get into my lane and didn't see me and hit me. He hit me and it spun my car around 3-4 times. Then I stopped and thought oh no and 10 seconds later I saw the orange car coming to hit me again. It hit me hard that time. I spun around quite a few times and hit the guard rail and spun some more and finally came to a stop. Mind you it is rush hour traffic on a major highway. I am so lucky no one else hit me. A very nice gentleman had stopped to see how I was. He asked if I could back it up a little as I was hanging out into the highway. I did and he asked if I could get out. I tried my drivers side door and it would not open. So he helped me out of the passenger side door. Mind you at this point I started to look around my car because all I smelled was chili. Sure enough there was chili everywhere! I asked the nice man about the other car and he said he didn't see another car. When he got me out we saw a lot of smoke coming from the the trees on the side of the road and heard someone. That is when we saw the orange car. It had spun right off the road into the bushes and trees. You could not even see the car very well. Thankfully they finally got up to the road and they were fine. Not a scratch on them. I have to say that I thought to myself that I was so grateful that no one got hurt.

The police were on the way so I called Cory to let him know what happened and he left work to come survey the damage. I called my boss since I was just waiting there to let him know that I was involved in an accident and I would call him later to let him know about coming in the next day. Well all I said was I was in an accident and he said oh no, are you ok, and where are you, I am on the way. So he came up there too. The nice gentleman that stopped to see if I was ok was joined by another young man who stopped also to make sure everyone was ok. They gave me some water as I had bit a chunk of my tongue off during the accident and it was bleeding. The men did not want to leave until the police or my husband got there which was very kind. The 2 young men that were in the other car were down the road on their phones. One of the guys ended up leaving. Someone came and got him and he left before the police got there.

The police took forever. I did not wear a coat that day and I had hurt my foot during the accident. Cory and the police arrived at the same time. So did my boss. The police took me and the guy that was in the other car into his squad car. Tow truck arrived and Cory was already on the phone with Triple A. I will tell you this much...it is not comfortable in the back seat of a police car! Wow...they have no padding back there. I hope never to see the back of a police car again! The police officer had to let me out as I had to get my purse out and anything I wanted or needed out of my car as they were lifting it up onto the flatbed. So my boss and Cory helped me get my crock pot out and Brady's car seat and my purse and my Starbucks coffee mug out. There was Chili on everything! We took some pictures of my car at that point. It was taking them forever to get the orange car out as it was wedged between some trees. They did finally get it out. The police officer finally told me that I was done and gave me my report number and said I was free to go. So Cory and I were on the way home.

Cory looks at me and says..."so you like the Mazda 3's then right" I laughed. I had told him last year that I like the Mazda 3's and I might get one eventually. But I was in no hurry as we only had 2 more payments on my car and I was going to enjoy not having a car payment for a while. Life is funny like that. I don't know if they will total the car or not. They will look at it in a couple of days.

So all in all I was very lucky indeed. I could have been hurt very bad or someone else could have been hurt. Sure I am bummed about my car but at the end of the day its only a car! They are replaceable....people are not. I am such a lucky person. I have always thought I was so blessed and I am.

So I am up and very sore! Going to go into work late today as Cory has to take me.

Lazy Sunday afternoon

Well I am back at home after a very nice breakfast at Cory's mom and dads. Yum. Even Brady had a very nice time too. Brady and I were in the middle of making Chili today when Brady's dad showed up. Brady threw in the rest of the stewed tomatoes and Kidney beans and then gave it a quick stir and off he went to go home for the day. Brady did a great job helping me make the chili. It will be a big hit at work now, for sure.

We are now going to clean up the house and start to relax! I am so tired. We got home late from the Halloween party and I got up early when Brady arrived at 8am. Cory and I plan of cleaning the house as fast as we can and get to the important stuff of just laying around and watching TV till bed. We will see how that goes..lol I always have stuff that has to be done.

We are having a Halloween party tomorrow at work and we can dress up and we are having a chili cook off too. I am bringing my chili...but just so people can eat it and not so much for the competition. Should be a lot of fun.

Off to clean up the house and then watch a scary movie with Cory and go to bed to start another fun filled week of work.

I had a very nice day with Mr. Brady yesterday. He was so good. He always is. He is just the most sweetest kid. I just adore him. He went with me to pick up my costume and he said he liked it. So he gave it the thumbs up and he liked Cory's costume too. Then he went to Meijers with us and I found out that he does not like fake eyelashes....who knew! I put some in the cart and he gave out a little yell and threw them out. I put them back in the cart and he kept saying noooo. So I figured out that he was afraid of the eyelashes. I had to hid them under my purse and I was afraid security would think I was trying to steal them...lol. It was very comical. We then proceeded over to Wendy's to eat. We got home just in time for Jason to come pick him up.

Jason invited us to the Red Wings game on Nov 8th. I am so excited for that.

Jason asked us if we could watch Brady again this morning and I said of course..he is no trouble at all. So Mr. Brady came over this morning at 8am and we are getting ready to go over to Cory's mom and dad's house for breakfast. Should be a great time.

Halloween Party

The Halloween party was very fun. Thank you Stephanie for making me come!! It did not start till 7:30 pm. She had tons of food and cookies and munchies. Stephanie was a wonderful host. There was lots of people there all dressed.

Kaitlin came over after she got out of work and she was still in her Best Buy clothes so that is what she came as..lol.

It was a very nice time meeting new people and seeing old friends as well.

Invisalign

Well...this was one of the biggest decisions I have made. I have hated the way my teeth have looked since I was 13 yrs old. My one front tooth is half over on my other front tooth. Over the years I wished I could get braces but could not afford them. I knew they came out with Invisalign but again I could not afford them either. It really affects my self confidence in myself. It is something I think about all the time. Well I have really been looking into Invisalign for the last couple of years and thinking about how I can swing this. My sister-in-law got Invisalign on my nephew Justin and I talked to him over the summer and I didn't even know he had them on. It was crazy. Well I just happened to talk to Chris (sister-in-law) last week and was talking about how I wanted to get the Invisalign and she said to go to the dentist she took Justin too. She said they really work with people on payments and they are awesome. I started researching the dentist and saw that he has been on the news several times for all the good deeds he does and that people love him. He has a great way with people and he doesnt try to sell products to you. He really cares.

So I made an appt and I went in to see him. It was a really nice place. I love that in every chair you sit in you have a personal tv and remote to watch whatever you want while you are in your dental chair. It hovers over you so while you are getting a cleaning, filling or whatever you can watch your favorite shows. Wow!!! They really want to put people at ease. They gave me a lot of info but I told them I already have seen many dentists and have already had any questions I ever had answered. My only issue was financing. Well they made it work for me. With my flex pay at work (which I can use for braces and no one ever told me that) I will only have to pay out of pocket 200.00. I was so shocked. They said I did not have to pay the 200.00 up front either...I can pay 25.00 every time I came to pay that. I could not believe this. I almost cried. It is something that I have wanted to do for as long as I could remember. So I decided not to waste one more single day...I said lets do it!!

They took my impressions and took the xrays and photos and that was it. I go back in Dec 6th to get my first set of trays. I am so excited. I will document my progress as I go along.

It was a big day for me and I am glad that I did it for myself.

Brady day

I get the honor of watching little Brady today. I cant wait. I am already up and anxiously awaiting his arrival. He should be here around 10:00am. He is such a good boy. He is growing up so fast. I am thinking about what to do today.

I have to go costume shopping today as I need a costume for a Halloween party my friend Stephanie is having. I feel really bad as she is a close friend and she has these parties every year and I have never gone to one. So I am making the effort to go. Just don't know what to wear.

Oh and by the way. I watched Paranormal Activity last night and it was not very scary at all. I was really worried about it as Kaitlin told me it was so scary she could not watch the whole movie. She hid upstairs in her room last night while we watched it. But Cory and I thought it was not very scary...not one bit. Tonight we will find another scary movie to watch after the party.

I'm Back

Well it's been way too long. I have decided to come back to my blog. I have missed it. I got too busy with every day life to write on my blog. Well I am making time now. Maybe because I have things to say...I don't know. So I do see that a lot has changed on the blog site. Not sure about this new design thing. Will have to check that out. Well I will be back in the morning to write some more stuff. I am now going to watch a movie called paranormal activity. My friend said it was not too scary. I will be the judge of that......
