Wallpaper or paint
I am redoing the guest bedroom and I am thinking of wallpapering. I want a chair rail and wallpaper above the chair rail and a contrasting paint on the bottom half. What are your views on wallpapering? Keep in mind we will try to sell the house when the housing market turns around. It would be a simple neutral wallpaper. Let me know. I would love to wall paper. Or should I just paint the room instead?

Personally I love wallpaper! But when you are fixing up a room knowing you're plannning to sell, I think I would just paint the room. You are really decorating for the next people who live there and not everyone likes wallpaper anymore. We are starting to do the same thing only ours is wallpapered already - so we're taking it off. Paint is a better choice in my humble opinion, especially if you are thinking of selling any time soon. So much easier for the next owners to change out to their own taste. Paint is less expensive, wallpaper is a royal PAIN in you know where to strip off.
Wallpaper is a HORRIBLE idea!!! Do you not remember me complaining about all the wallpaper I had to take off of our new house. It was AWFUL!
